As both a chef and a home cook, I take pride in choosing high-quality cookware that performs well and lasts. I’m also passionate about supporting local businesses, so when I can find nonstick cookware made in the USA, it’s a win-win for me!
While there aren’t many US-made options for nonstick saucepans or stock pots, I’ve found some excellent alternatives from the EU, where quality standards are just as high.
However, when it comes to frying pans, the US has plenty to offer—you’ll have no shortage of great options to choose from! Let’s explore the best picks for nonstick cookware made in the USA.
In this article, I’m going to give a brief overview of the best nonstick cookware made in the USA. Then, I’ll recommend six of my favorite pans from these brands.

What Do We Mean by Nonstick Pan?
Well, before we get into the product recommendations, I need to clarify what ‘nonstick’ actually means.
Nonstick pans usually have a base of aluminum or stainless steel with a coating applied that makes the surface nonstick. This coating is either Teflon (PTFE) based or ceramic (silica-based).
Generally, if the pan is labeled nonstick and doesn’t mention ceramic, then you know it is Teflon-based, whether or not the packaging expressly states that. I’ll be focussing on Teflon and ceramic nonstick in this product round-up.
Seasoned carbon steel and enameled cast iron are considered semi-nonstick. But, these surfaces are only nonstick when well-preheated and used with oil. Actual nonstick pans are nonstick at any temperature and can be used without any fats.
Why Opt For Nonstick Cookware Made in the USA?
The reason I and many others prefer to buy cookware made in the USA is the strict safety regulations and testing that are required by the FDA.
Nonstick coatings on pans used to be made with the chemical perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA).
The FDA banned this known carcinogen in 2015. (Of course, PFOA has been replaced with other similar chemicals, but that’s a different discussion.
I’m assuming that if you’re on this page, you’ve done your research and are comfortable using nonstick-coated pans.)
You can’t rely on many foreign-made pans to have the same quality as those made in the US, with better working conditions and higher wages for employees. The exception is many EU-made pans, as safety standards in the EU tend to be equal to or exceed those of the US.
But What Does “Made in America” Really Mean?
It can be harder to tell which products are truly American-made than it first appears. For example, a brand like American Kitchen has strongly branded itself as a proudly American company.
But, if you look a little closer, the pans are only assembled in the USA. The parts themselves are ‘globally sourced,’ and that’s the only info they provide.
In my professional opinion, it’s not a huge deal if the handle is made elsewhere and attached in the US. Still, the body of the pan needs to be manufactured in the USA to qualify as an American-made product. This is because the most important element of these pans is the nonstick coating itself, and that needs to pass the US testing and regulations.
In this product breakdown, I will only include products that have been manufactured in the USA.
Are There Nonstick Pans Made in the US?
Here’s a breakdown of all the US-made brands of nonstick cookware in 2024:
Editor’s note: We have reached out to Tramontina for comment and will update here when we have more information.
Made In Cookware Nonstick Frying Pan- Overall Best Nonstick Pan Made in USA
Tramontina Pro Line Nonstick Pan- Best Budget Nonstick Pan Made in the USA
Affordable nonstick cookware made in the USA is hard to find, but this Tramontina Proline Commercial Grade Aluminum Nonstick Frying Pan Set ticks all the boxes.
This frying pan set is made from durable, heavy-duty aluminum, so the pans will heat up very evenly. The coating itself is delicate, so stick to using silicone or wooden utensils on the surface.
This set comes with two 8” frying pans but I wish it was one 8” and one 10” or 12”. I feel like you would get far more use out of two different sizes of skillets.
Where is it made? This product is labeled on its packaging as Made in the USA but also lists Brazil as a country of origin. Either way, it's not based in China, which is where a lot of safety issues lie.

Nordic Ware Ceramic Nonstick Grill Pan- Best Nonstick Grill Pan Made in the USA
The Nordic Ware Ceramic Nonstick Grill Pan is one of the only nonstick grill pans that I could find that was made in America. Luckily, it's affordable and super efficient.
This is a great pan to cook steak and veggies in. You can get those smoky-flavored grill marks without cleanup being nasty afterward.
Where is it made? This is one of those pans I mentioned earlier that has a handle made in China and attached in the USA. But the body of the pan, along with the nonstick coating, is manufactured in the US.

All-Clad Copper Core Nonstick Pan – Best USA-Made Copper Core Nonstick Frying Pan
All-Clad is a very popular cookware brand that is branded as being American. However, only certain nonstick lines are actually manufactured in their factory in Pennsylvania. But, thankfully, their Copper Core collection is made in PA, US.
This All-Clad Copper Core Nonstick Frying Pan is an excellent frying pan for any of you who covet copper cookware but can’t afford to splurge on a fully clad version. This pan has a copper core sandwiched between stainless steel that makes these pans heat rapidly and evenly. Inside is a powerful PTFE-based nonstick coating that is perfect for cooking eggs.
Where is it made? All-Clad’s US headquarters is in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, and this is where their US-made line is manufactured.
- Weight: Not given
- Thickness: 5-ply
- Sizes available: 8”, 10”, 12”
- Fast-heating copper core
- Safe at high heat
- Induction-compatible

Williams-Sonoma x Calphalon Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware Set – Best Set Made in the USA
This Williams-Sonoma x Calphalon Elite Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware Set is one of the only complete nonstick sets available that is made in the USA. The collaboration between these two American giants is the only collection from Calphalon actually made in the United States.
This set offers just about every pot and pan you could need except a grill pan. The variety is great and rare compared to the limited ranges of the other brands.
The brand claims that this nonstick coating is metal utensil safe, but I’m skeptical about that. The chances of causing a scratch are too high for me to risk it with a set that costs this much money.
Where is it made? The Calphalon Elite line is made in Perrysburg, Ohio.
- Weight: Various
- Thickness: Not given
- Sizes available: 8”, 10”, 12” frying pan, 2.5-qt saucepan with lid, 4.5-qt saucepan with lid, 4-qt saute pan with lid, 6-qt saute pan with lid, 5-qt Dutch oven, 8-qt stock pot lid
- Dishwasher safe
- Oven safe 500°F
- Variety in pot and pan types
- Not available on Amazon
- Tempered glass lids, not oven safe at high temps
- Small handles get hot
Williams-Sonoma x Calphalon Elite Hard Anodized 4.5-qt Stock Pot- Best Nonstick Stock Pot Made in the USA
This Williams-Sonoma x Calphalon Elite Hard Anodized 4.5-qt Stock Pot is the only US-made nonstick stock pot I could track down, and I was researching for a good while! Stock pots don't have to be nonstick, but personally, I use my stock pot for a multitude of dishes, so having a nonstick surface is handy.
Again, this brand provides a lifetime warranty for this product, but I’m skeptical about this because of the limited lifespan of nonstick coatings. Regardless of how gentle you are, the coating is going to deteriorate, so you will eventually have to replace this pan.
Where is it made? The Calphalon Elite line is made in Perrysburg, Ohio.
- Weight: 4.2lb
- Thickness: Not given
- Sizes available: 4.5-qt
- Large flared handles for ease of use
- Attractive matte black finish
- Triple-coated PTFE non-stick
- Heavy
- Not available on Amazon
- Lid is not oven-safe to 500°F
Alternatives to American-Made Nonstick Cookware
As you can see, the choice of American-made nonstick cookware is very sparse! There are so many options for frying pans, but I find the diversity of pans available to be lacking. So, for Dutch ovens, stock pots, and saucepans, I suggest choosing a nonstick pan that is made in the EU or one that is US-made but not nonstick.
Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven
Enameled cast iron is considered semi-nonstick if you use it correctly. This Le Creuset Dutch Oven is a great option because of the high-quality enamel. As long as it is preheated and you use enough oil, the surface should be nonstick. The smooth enamel makes clean-up so easy, even when you use your Dutch oven for slow cooking.
✅ Superior heat distribution
✅ Excellent heat retention
✅ Ready to use, requires no seasoning
✅ Easy-to-clean
Lodge Carbon Steel Skillet
This Lodge Carbon Steel Skillet is semi-nonstick and made in the USA. If you regularly season your carbon steel, preheat it well, and use oil, then this pan acts almost like a nonstick pan. It also has no nonstick coatings that deteriorate over time, so this pan will last you a lifetime.
✅ Heats quickly
✅ Best for searing and browning
✅ All cooktops compatible
✅ Easy-release finish
Made In Cookware
As I mentioned above, many products from Made In Stainless Steel Cookware are made in the USA, but some of their nonstick ranges are made in Italy. Their bare stainless steel can be semi-nonstick if you know how to use it correctly. Whichever option you choose, the pans are high quality and strictly regulated to ensure safety and quality.
Scanpan
Scanpan is a Danish brand that specializes in a self-proclaimed “safe” nonstick coating. If you’re looking for EU-made nonstick pans in a variety of shapes and sizes, Scanpan is a good pick. They have both aluminum and stainless steel options with a decent price range, all made in Denmark.
✅ 5-layer cast aluminum
✅ Polished 18/10 stainless steel exterior
✅ Ceramic-titanium nonstick
Conclusion
Although the nonstick options made in the USA are limited, there are some real gems available. But if you can’t get hold of the exact pan you need that’s made in the US; there are many EU-made pans to choose from.
Overall, I recommend the Made In Cookware Nonstick Frying Pan as a reliable multi-use pan. But if you want a complete USA-made nonstick set, you can’t go wrong with the Williams-Sonoma x Calphalon Elite Hard Anodized Nonstick Cookware Set.
