The B. Robert Burdo Culinary Arts Center is an integral part of Santa Rosa Junior College. It is dedicated to providing robust culinary education, featuring Associate Degrees and Certificates in specific areas such as Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry, and Wine Studies. These academic programs are structured to equip students with the knowledge and practical abilities required for professional careers in the food service and hospitality sectors through comprehensive training and real-world application.
In addition to its academic offerings, the center serves the broader community through its Community Education division. This division presents a variety of non-credit classes focused on cooking and culinary subjects, making them accessible to the general public. These classes cover a range of topics, including specific international cooking styles, baking techniques, and essential cooking fundamentals.
The center provides well-equipped facilities that support hands-on learning experiences, giving both students pursuing degrees and community participants the necessary environment to practice techniques and improve their culinary capabilities. Instruction is provided by experienced professionals from the culinary field.
