Serving Suggestions

These bagels are perfect for breakfast, brunch or even a protein-boosted lunch. If you don’t want to use the bacon cream cheese, you can top them with regular cream cheese, cottage cheese, or even hummus.

Expert Tips 🧑‍🍳

  • Full-fat Greek yogurt. This will add the most protein and provide the best flavor.
  • Seeded topping. Add some poppy seeds or sesame seeds after the egg wash for a little decoration.
  • Add a little spice. Add some cayenne pepper to the dough.
  • Swap out the cheese. Try out some asiago, gouda, or gruyere to change up the flavors.

Storage Suggestions

  • To store- Once the bagels have cooled, transfer them to a bread bin or an airtight container and store in a cool dark place for up to 3 days.
  • To freeze- These bagels are great to freeze for the future. Transfer the bagels to Ziploc bags or a freezer-safe container and freeze for up to 6 months.
  • To thaw- Frozen bagels are best thawed in the refrigerator overnight. Once thawed, they are best served toasted to retain their texture.
