- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
For the pasta:
- 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
- 3 tbsp salted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup sundried tomatoes, chopped (packed in oil, drained)
- ½ cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup fresh basil, roughly chopped
- Juice of ½ lemon

- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta 1 minute less than the package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Toss shrimp with salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp and sear for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and melt the butter in the same skillet.
- Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in sundried tomatoes and cook for 1 minute.
- Deglaze the pan with white wine, scraping up the browned bits. Simmer for 2 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan. Let simmer until thickened.
