Step 2- Toast the Pecans

  • In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the pecans until they’re golden brown and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes. Stir occasionally to avoid burning. Once toasted, set them aside to cool.

Step 3- Layer the Tiramisu

  • In a shallow dish, dip the Biscoff cookies briefly in the cooled coffee (don’t soak them too long, or they’ll get soggy). Arrange them in the bottom of your serving dish.
  • Spread half of the chai-spiced mascarpone mixture over the cookie layer.
  • Sprinkle half of the toasted pecans over the mascarpone layer for a nice crunchy surprise.

Step 4- Repeat Layers

  • Add another layer of coffee-dipped Biscoff cookies on top of the mascarpone and pecans.
  • Spread the remaining mascarpone cream over the second cookie layer.
  • Drizzle softened Biscoff spread over the top of the mascarpone cream.

Step 5- Finishing Touches

  • Dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle extra crushed Biscoff cookies and toasted pecans over the top.
  • For an added Biscoff boost, you can drizzle a little extra warmed Biscoff spread right before serving!

Step 6- Chill

  • Refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to let the flavors meld together.

Serving Suggestions

A hot chai latte or spiced coffee would be the perfect pairing with this jazzed-up tiramisu! The warm, cozy vibes would be out of this world! You can use a premixed version or try this homemade option:

🧑‍🍳Expert Tips

  • Don’t oversoak the cookies. You want them softened but still with a little bite.
  • Taste your mascarpone mixture. This mixture doesn’t feature raw eggs, so it’s safe to taste before layering to adjust the spices to your preference.
  • Chill well before serving. This will let the mascarpone set well and allow the flavors to meld together beautifully.
  • Toast the pecans in the oven. It’s easy to burn the nuts when toasting in a pan, so if you have this issue, pop them in the oven for 5 minutes at 350°F instead.
  • Add the booze back. This is an alcohol-free option, but if you miss that element, add a tablespoon of liqueur to your cooled coffee.
